Ep. 59: An Interview with Malcolm Guite (Part 2)

Malcolm Guite is truly a delight to speak with, which made interviewing him a thing of beauty. In this second and final segment, Malcolm and I converse about the film adaptations of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit books, Malcolm shares one of his own beautiful sonnets, and much, much more.

I hope those who listen will find this insightful and encouraging. If you have not listened to Part 1, you can find that episode on the platform you are listening on now.

My interview with Malcolm and the subsequent episodes are dedicated to two friends and fellow laborers in ministry, Samuel Musgrave and Sean Cox. These are men who love beautiful words and beautiful music; men who know a thing or two about a Ring or two.

A special thank you to my dear friend, Phil Keaggy for granting permission to use "When Night Falls" from his wonderful album, "Beyond Nature," an album I fell in love with as a younger man.

In this episode I mentioned a book called "The Cotswold Parables" (fully titled "Meeting God in Quite Places: The Cotswold Parables). It is by author F. LaGard Smith, and is a wonderful and recommended read. Pardon my confusion of authorship in the episode.

A personal note from Bryan:

With well over three million podcasts in existence today, the world of podcasting is immensely crowded and competitive. If you would take 30 seconds and give a kind rating or leave a nice review, subscribe or follow wherever you listen, it helps push this indie podcast higher up in the algorithm and more people find us. I would be ever so grateful.

Thank you to Malcolm Guite for his words, his stories, his insights, his time and for a wonderful conversation.
